Finding Peace Through Prayer
Busy seasons squeeze prayer out first and add worry in its place. Yet prayer was never meant to be another item on the list — it is the deep breath beneath the list. Even five unhurried minutes with God can lower the noise and lift the weight.
Try the simplest pattern there is: pause, breathe, and pray the day in front of you. Name each meeting, each errand, each worry — and hand it over one by one. Peace rarely comes from fewer problems; it comes from a nearer God.
A Five-Minute Pattern
- Stillness (1 min) — sit, breathe, and remember God is present.
- Scripture (1 min) — read one verse slowly, twice.
- Supplication (2 min) — bring the day's worries, one by one.
- Silence (1 min) — listen. God still speaks in whispers.
"You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you."
